Tenemos acordes de reposo, o acordes de t\u00f3nica, tenemos acordes que se mueven hacia alguna parte, o acordes subdominantes, y tenemos acordes dominantes, que tienen una imperiosa necesidad de resolver. La m\u00fasica occidental se construye sobre esta relaci\u00f3n t\u00f3nica, subdominante, dominante pero&#8230; \u00bfqu\u00e9 pasa sin prescindimos de los acordes dominantes? \u00bfqu\u00e9 pasa si eliminamos la cadencia aut\u00e9ntica de la ecuaci\u00f3n? \u00bfpodemos hacer funcionar un tema sin que aparezcan acordes dominantes, acordes disminuidos y acordes din\u00e1micos en general? Alrededor de 1960 varios m\u00fasicos de jazz coquetearon con la idea de suavizar la dependencia que la m\u00fasica ten\u00eda con respecto al V7, fuese como dominante principal o como dominante secundario.
